This week we looked at Timothy Nash’s Testimony and his pursuit of humbleness. The bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, ” If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Our walk can take us to many places but, the ultimate place is to be with Jesus and desire what Jesus desires. In order to walk with Jesus we must,”Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” By acknowledging that Jesus has the answers, we accept that we don’t have the answers. In this posture of humbleness, we can begin to pray.
There is a order to being before God according to 2 Chronicles 4;17. If we first humble ourselves. than it says to pray after humbling yourself. At this point we can present our request with prayer and supplication. How wonderful that the Lord loves us so much to give us detailed instruction to His desires.
Beloved, we are all searching to draw near to Jesus. God is looking for a broken spirit and a contrite heart, according to psalms 51. Wash yourself in Gods desires and goodness for your life. It’s never too late to approach the throne.
