Featured Broadcast – Abortion through the eyes of Disciples of Christ, with guests Deanna and Michele

Deanna from the Abolitionists Society of Orlando, and Michele from Pro-Life Action Ministries of Central Florida were our guests on the 2nd April broadcast.

Both ladies have a heart for unborn innocent children. They represent the view of the unborn child who is defenseless in the womb. Although many women feel it’s their decision to have or to abort, the truth is if someone came up to you and said “Can I abort you?” it would be a cruel question. Shouldn’t it be your choice? In an abortion, the child does not get to choose. Their lives are cruelly taken while they are still alive. As a Christian, how do you think God feels about that?

God does not condone the act of someone taking another’s life that He has created, but in the event that a mother has already had an abortion, since God loves all of His creation (John 3:16), Jesus can and will heal the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3). But the mother must seek the Lord. God has NOT rejected you, he will never leave you nor forsake you. It is never too late to call upon the name of Jesus.

These other questions and issues on the subject of abortion were discussed during the program, which you can listen to at the end of this article below.

Deanna writes:

“Today, in America, in the shadow of our steeples, babies are dying. Two every minute. 3500 every day. 1.6 million every year. Yes Christian, our neighbors, the very neighbors Christ told us to love. The least of these, the down trodden, the weak, defenseless, the fatherless and voiceless they are not only dying but are being murdered. ‘WHERE!’ you can’t help but cry aloud. At our modern day child sacrifice centers, where they are torn limb from limb while still alive, disemboweled, decapitated and thrown into our local dump. ‘WHO!’ you exclaim! Tiny image bearers of God, rejected by their own parents and yes, the Christian community. ‘What!’ you swallow hard barely able to get your words out through gritted teeth. Yes, the greatest evil of our age being almost entirely ignored by those who profess Christ. ‘WHY’ because my brothers and sisters we have fattened our hearts as in a day of slaughter, living on the earth in luxury and pleasure caring little for the plight of our pre-born neighbor. Yes Abortion is Murder no doubt. God says in Exodus 20 “Thou shall not murder” which implies a duty to not only refrain from the violent, life ending act of murder but to rescue those being led away to slaughter. (Proverbs 24:11) So, Christian, what have you done this week to actively oppose Child sacrifice? What have you done to love your neighbor, the second of the two greatest commandments? Examine yourself and if you can honestly say you have done nothing. Repent with us. Humble yourself before the God that created you in your mothers womb, the God that knit you together fearfully and wonderfully, come to Him with a broken and a contrite heart, confessing your sin one to another. Then ask Him how he would have you respond. How to be a follower of Christ in a culture that practices child sacrifice. How to be salt and light. Learn to do good; seek justice. Help the oppressed (Isa 1:17), act justly, love mercy, (Micah 6:8) but we must do something. God hates the hands that shed innocent blood and we my friends must warn the wicked of their wicked ways. So go, preach, shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Faith without works is dead.”
